“Working with Rebekah and Blythe was amazing. After having a couple hospital births, I wanted something completely different. I wanted a peaceful, calm, no intervention birth. I told Rebekah, "I want to experience birth as God intended." It was important to my husband that the midwife we picked was skilled and knowledgeable. He has been a bit against a home birth previously because "what if". After interviewing Rebekah and asking all his questions, he felt completely at ease with her expertise and ability to handle unexpected things, in the moment, should something happen. Rebekah is amazing. She is tender and caring. She will explain your options, but she is never pushy, and always so respectful and empathetic to your decisions and feelings. When I went into labor, Blythe arrived first. Blythe has a soft soothing voice and she offered encouragement and support throughout. She also gently helped me move into positions to help my labor progress and have the baby move into place. I had never had someone help me with this before and it made a huge difference, not just with the baby's position but also with my pain. Rebekah knew where I was in the process (more so than I) and was ready with everything perfectly. I had a water birth and she was right there the whole time, and grabbed the baby and got her in my arms so quickly and skillfully. After, I felt tired but invigorated and empowered, which was so different than how I felt with my previous hospital births. Rebekah helped me shower and get into my OWN comfortable bed (which, by the way, is one of the best perks of a homebirth). Everything was all cleaned up in less than an hour and I was able to eat, sleep, and snuggle my newborn. I couldn't recommend Rebekah and Blythe higher as a team; together they make birth what it should be: a calm and beautiful family event, as God intended.”

“I prayed for a calm, quiet birth, and I got exactly that. Blythe's kind, gentle approach at my birth allowed my husband to be my main birth partner while she observed and was ready to help when we needed her. She gave me and my husband confidence and encouragement throughout labor and I really believe that helped me progress quickly. I'm so grateful to Blythe for the peaceful birth she helped me have.

"Gentle, supportive, and caring. I was always encouraged that I was doing a great job and that my body was doing what it needed to be doing. Providing me sips of water throughout my labor was imperative. When I would doubt myself, I knew I could find comfort in knowing that Melissa was there to encourage and comfort me at any moment."

“I have had a wonderful experience working with Rebekah as my midwife and Blythe as her assistant. As a first-time mom at the age of 38, I was a
little worried about doing a home birth. Rebekah and Blythe have supported my decision and eased my anxiety. They provided their professional care and a tender, loving presence throughout the journey. I especially like how they always gave me all the information and let me make the decision with no judgement at all. The birthing center they have is very calm and pleasant and homey. I also enjoyed the birthing class and lactation class offered there. I feel very lucky that I have found them and it was the best team for me!”
